Temporary Closure
Posted by town / March 18th, 2020 / No responsesMahalo nunui for the overwhelming support that we received over the weekend following our last post. So many of you ordered take-out and purchased gift certificates on-line and have affirmed our faith in inter-connection and shared purpose. It is with a heavy heart that we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close our Kaimuki restaurants until further notice. With government officials endorsing social distancing and with the most recent confirmed COVID-19 case locally being a 19-year-old tour guide with no travel history, we take this moment very seriously and follow the lead of many mainland establishments that have either voluntarily or by mandate ceased operations. Our top priority is the health and well-being of our staff, diners, and island community and feel it is irresponsible for us to proceed to operate as usual.
Please bear with us as we navigate this uncharted territory. We will be spending these initial 24 hours intently focused on satisfying the needs of our staff – food, unemployment compensation, and continuation of benefits. By Wednesday we hope to address our overflowing inbox of inquiries for meal plans and take-out orders with curb-side pickup and delivery options.
Please continue to check in here for updates as we monitor this rapidly changing situation and adapt as necessary. After the dust settles we look forward to welcoming you into our home once again. Until then be safe, take care of your own, and know that we are so very grateful for your kindness and support.
with Aloha always,
The Town Tribe #ittakesatown
